YAKIMA, Wash. (September 24, 2011) – Jayme Barnes waited until the final night of the ASCS Northwest 2011 season to post his first win as he raced to victory lane in Saturday night’s season finale at Yakima’s State Fair Raceway.
While the former champ picked off the win, Roger Crockett claimed his second ASCS Northwest championship by crossing the stripe third behind Barnes and Friday night winner Jason Solwold.
While Barnes started fourth, Randy Pierce paced the initial circuits before Barnes slide into the lead. Barnes went on to the stripe in front of Solwold and Crockett, with Henry Van Dam and Chadd Noland rounding out the top five.
Van Dam, Barnes, Pierce and Crockett topped Saturday night’s heat race action, with Jason Cocking winning the “B” Main.
