Coming off a stretch of 14 races in 17 night’s Lance Dewease still wasn’t excited to get rained out on Friday night at the Williams Grove Speedway, but still managed to get one night in as he grabbed an eight place finish Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway.

Lining up 14th in the 25 lap feature, the Fayetteville, PA driver was un sure how the night would go as the track had been narrow all night long.

“We watched the track after out heats and it just stayed very narrow, and really made passing tough for the other classes,” he explained. “It’s not fun when it get’s like that but it’s part of it.”

Once he dropped the hammer, LD did what he could to get his Viper Risk Management Group/Wings Unlimited/Schaeffer Racing Oils machine moving forward, and he was successful at that.

“We were able to sneak around some cars without killing our momentum which led to some more passing,” he continued.

Dewease cracked the top-ten late in the race but wasn’t done there.

Over the last two laps, Dewease was able to get around Mike Erdley and then Frank Cozze as he had worked his way up into the eighth spot.

“With how narrow this track was tonight, I was pleased with how we were able to get through traffic,” he said. “I wasn’t sure how much passing would be going on, and we were able to turn in a pretty decent performance.”

Dewease would like to thank Viper Risk Management Group, Wings Unlimited,
Hank’s Performance Products, Schaeffer Racing Oils,
Penske Racing Shocks,
