“We did nothing,” he said. “Nothing even in the shop. We were all ready. I just hung out with friends.”

With two victories and three top-five finishes in his first four events this season, Dover has his eyes set on two more wins this weekend in South Dakota. He will compete on Saturday at I-90 Speedway in Hartford at the 3rd annual Loren Barstad Memorial and Sunday at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon.

“Loren and I were friends and I’m going in memory of him,” Dover said. “He just loved the sport and would do anything for anybody.”

Dover finished second with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour in his only appearance at I-90 Speedway last season. Sunday will be the first time since 2009 that he will race at Huset’s Speedway.

“We ran 410s up there a few times and were always in the top five,” he said. “I’ve never ran a 360 up there, but I don’t think it’ll be that different.”
