The father son duo of Jac and Sheldon Haudenschild has been busy over the last week competing in Ohio Speedweek. Though Sheldon has been very consistent, Jac has highlighted the week with a win at the famed Eldora Speedway.

Jac-

Kicking the week off at the Attica Raceway Park in the Phoenix Racing No. 59 machine, the Hall of Fame driver jump started his night by timing in 17th quickest during time-trials.

Issues would plague the team all night, long, and the ‘Wild Child’ would be sidelined in the B main.

Heading to one of his favorite tracks on Saturday night, the Eldora Speedway, Haud was simply magnificent.

Timing in third quickest, Haud would score a fifth place finish in heat race action, before finishing fourth in the Dash, to put him in the second row of the feature event.

On a very slick Eldora Speedway, the Wooster, OH driver, blasted around Tim Shaffer on the seventh lap, and never looked back.

Running inches off the wall, Haudenschild went on to win his eight career All Star Circuit of Champions feature at the speedway.

Moving on to Waynesfield, OH on Sunday night, Jac climbed aboard the Ham Signs No.6 machine.

With 45 cars on hand, Jac timed in 21st quickest, before scoring a second place finish in his heat, putting him in the feature event.

Starting 20th in the feature, Haud was unable to get going. Struggling to find grip in the feature, Haud hung in the back of the pack, until contact was made between him and the lead pack of cars, and he was credited with a 22nd place finish.

On Monday, the sight was Wayne County, OH and Haud was back in the Phoenix Racing machine.

It was a family affair for Haud, as him and Sheldon hooked up in a battle late in the race, as the father-son duo battled for the 10th position.

When the dust settled on the event, it was Jac scoring a 10th place finish.

“So far it hasn’t been the week we had hoped for, but it was good to get a win at Eldora, and race with Sheldon at Wayne County.”

Sheldon-

Getting the call from Marshall Motorsports earlier in the month, Sheldon Haudenschild was named the driver of the No.33m machine for the grueling week.

At the Attica Raceway park on Friday night, Sheldon opened up the week by timing in 18th quickest against the 42 cars checked into the pit area.

Scoring a fourth place finish in his heat, Sheldon made the transfer to the feature event, where he lined up in the 17th spot.

On what was an extremely slick track at Attica, Sheldon got acclimated to his new ride, and made laps, scoring a 17th place finish at the stripe.

Heading to Eldora, after being impressive there to date, Sheldon looked for a big night.

Timing in 15th fastest, the younger Haudenschild score a third place finish in heat race action, putting him comfortably in the feature event.

With the track very slick, and preferred groove up around the wall, trouble ensued for Sheldon, as he made hard contact with the wall, ending his night with a 22nd place finish, making for a very long night of work for him and his team.

Working into the early hours of the morning, Sheldon and his team got the No.33m ready for Waynesfield on Sunday night.

Continuing to qualify consistent, Haudenschild timed in 16th quick with a stout 45 car field on hand, putting him third in his heat, where he would finish.

Starting the feature in the 15th spot, Sheldon had his elbows up, as he put on quite the show.

Haudenschild simply went where the cars in front of him were not, as he charged his way up to a ninth place finish.

Looking to gain form the Sunday night feature, Lil’ Haud, proceeded to score an eleventh place finish at Wayne County on Monday night, after a very entertaining race with his father for the 10th spot.

“It’s been an up and down week,” he said. “I can’t thank the Marshall Motorsports team enough for this opportunity, and hopefully we can get some good runs together over the final three nights.”

ON TAP: Sheldon and Jac will close up Speedweek starting tonight at the Fremont Speedway before heading to Limaland tomorrow, and returning to Fremont on Saturday night.
