It’s Pedal to the Metal in August at Plymouth Speedway

Plymouth, IN — (August 1, 2013) —  August is a busy month at Plymouth Speedway with several special races and features.

This Saturday, Aug. 3, it’s a six-in-one race night on the dirt oval sponsored by Paul’s Auto Yard. 410 Non-Wing Sprint cars will be the featured race along with Street Stocks, Thunder Stocks, I-Mods, USAC 600 Open and USAC r600w.

Don’t forget to stop by the front gate and buy a raffle ticket for a 24’ enclosed trailer. The drawing will be held Championship Night on Aug. 24.

On Aug. 10, it’s back to school night! The first 100 kids ages 12 and under in the front gate will receive a free backpack. At intermission, a candy dash will be featured for the kids on the track, as well as a bicycle race. Trophies will be awarded for the top three finishers. Enjoy racing with the UMP Modifieds, Super Streets, Thunder Stocks, USAC 600 Open, and USAC r600w divisions.

Three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion and native Hoosier, Tony Stewart, will be at Plymouth Speedway on Aug. 17 to drive his winged sprint car with the drivers in the Sprints on Dirt Series as part of the Bob Newton Hoosier Tire Classic, sponsored by Engine Pro, Wings Etc. and Fel-Pro Performance Gaskets. UMP Modifieds, USAC 600 Winged Sprints and USAC r600W drivers will also race.

The season champions will be decided on Aug. 24 with UMP Modifieds, Super Streets, Thunder Stocks, USAC 600 Open and USAC r600w taking the checkered flag.
