From Lincoln Speedway
ABBOTTSTOWN, PA – So much for daytime racing.
For the third week in-a-row Mother Nature has forced Lincoln Speedway officials to postpone their season opener scheduled for this weekend. After waiting out Saturday’s rain it became evident that trying to race on Sunday, March 14th would fair no better and threw in the proverbial towel early Saturday evening.
That means Lincoln’s season opener will now shift to next Saturday, March 20th. And to the delight of many fans, switches to nighttime racing as they will go with the originally scheduled 6 PM start time.
Once again the 410 Sprints will run the traditional season-opening Ice Breaker 30, along with the “Spring Thaw 20” for the Thundercars, along with the season opener for the 358 Late Models. The triple header show will start at 6 PM, with gates opening at 4 PM, and hot laps getting underway around 5:30 PM.
