KNOXVILLE, IOWA (April 8, 2010) – The non-profit National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Foundation, Inc., is pleased to announce the addition of Douglas R. Lockin to its staff as Planned Giving Consultant. The 1983 graduate of the University of Iowa is a Certified Public Accountant, in addition to being a Certified Fund Raising Executive.
According to museum board president Mike Brooks, the 1980 Knoxville Raceway track champion, “The board of directors, advisory board of directors and the museum staff are all very excited about welcoming Doug to our team led by executive director Bob Baker. We have made a number of significant changes in the past two years to focus on our long-term future and we feel the addition of Doug, with his vast knowledge and experience with regard to donor-centered charitable gift planning, will be a big part of that growth strategy.”
Doug Lockin is married and has five children. He is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, class of 2003, and he is a past president of the Mid-Iowa Planned Giving Council. He joins fellow part- and full-time staff members executive director Bob Baker, marketing manager Chuck Stowe, curator Tom Schmeh, administrative assistant Lori DeMoss, facilities representative Joel Frascht, and customer service representatives Blanche Kingery, Sherry Turner, Sharon Spaur and David Herrmann at the Knoxville-based museum.
