(AUGUST 5, 2010, RIVERSIDE, CA) Riverside, California racing star “Dynamite” David Cardey has announced that he has secured a ride for the 3rd Annual, Louie Vermiel Classic on September 4th & 5th at Calistoga Speedway on the Napa County Fairgrounds. To fund his appearance at the prestigious event, Cardey also announced the Dirty Danita and the Dirt Track Diva’s Calistoga Fundraiser Bikini Car Wash on August 14th at the famous Racer’s Pub.
The 2003 California Lightning Sprint Car champion will driving a Glenn Crossno’s famous #38 Viper Chassis/iTi Powered car from iTi Performance. “I want to thank Glenn Crossno and everyone from iTi for the opportunity to drive their car at Calistoga,” Cardey said on Wednesday afternoon. “It is a great opportunity and a great ride. Basically they are handing me the car to drive and I am funding it for the race. That is the reason for the bikini car wash fundraiser.”
The bikini car wash, featuring the popular Dirt Track Diva’s, will take place from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM outside Racer’s Pub and everyone is invited. The pub, which has sponsored Cardey since 2005, will be open and owner Freddie Chandler boasts that the best looking bartenders around will be on the job. Before the Calistoga race, Cardey will be in action on August 21st in Don Blair’s #12 at the Victorville Auto Raceway and in his own #59 car when the USAC/CRA series assembles at Perris Auto Speedway on August 28th.
