Craig Stidham of Fresno, Calif. is the 2010 USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Car Champion following his fourth-place finish in Saturday night’s series finale at the Tulare (Calif.) Thunderbowl Raceway. Stidham finished the season with a 41-point cushion over runner-up Davey Pombo.
Richard VanderWeerd of Visalia, Calif. won Saturday’s 30-lapper at Tulare, passing Rusty Carlile on lap four and leading the rest of the way in his VanderWeerd Construction/Mid-Valley Pipe & Supply Maxim. Bud Kaeding took second ahead of Jace VanderWeerd, Stidham and Peter Murphy.
A special event non-points race for the West Coast 360s is slated at Giant Speedway in Hanford, Calif. October 16.
