A brand new USAC Mopar .25 Dirt “Triple Crown” Series has been announced for 2011 and will include events at Hagerstown, Md. June 3-5 and at the Eldora Speedway’s “Little E” the weekends of July 15-17 and September 23-25.

The Hagerstown and September Eldora dates are part of the 2k11 “Generation Next” Tour, while the July Eldora date coincides with the prestigious Kings Royal Sprint race at Tony Stewart’s Ohio jewel.

The Hagerstown event has been dubbed the “Mason Dixon Shootout” and marks USAC’s Mopar .25 Midget debut in the state of Maryland. The June 3-5 events coincide with USAC’s annual “Eastern Storm” AMSOIL Sprint car tour which visits four Eastern ovals between May 30 and June 2.

“We created this “Triple Crown” to showcase the talents of our burgeoning talent on the dirt,” says USAC Developmental Racing Director James Spink. “When Eldora hopped on board with the July date it completed the slate and we look forward to what plans to be some great dirt-track competition for individual championships.”

“Little E” hosted its inaugural USAC Mopar .25 Midget events last September and drew rave reviews from participants as the event coincided with USAC’s annual “4-Crown Nationals.” The Hagerstown oval sits just outside turns one and two of the bigger half-mile dirt Hagerstown oval.

End of the year prizes will be awarded to the driver who competes in all three events and finishes in the top-three in the point standings.
