GRAY CAPTURES BOOTHEEL 200 USCS SPRINT CAR FEATURE

From J&J

Malden, Mo. – Winning races never gets old and nine-time United Speed Contest Sanction (USCS) champion Terry Gray smiles every time he wins a Sprint car feature event. The Bartlett, Tenn., native scored the 2011 USCS Winged Outlaws Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear season opener on Saturday night by racing past Brian Brown midway through the 30-lap feature event in the Sprint car portion of the Bootheel 200 at Malden (Mo.) Speedway.

Gray debuted a new No. 10 Rislone Engine Treatment sponsored Wesmar powered J&J to score his first triumph of 2011. Gray was the first of three J&J racers that scored top-five runs at Malden. Wayne Johnson raced Donnie Cooper’s No. 01 J&J to a fourth-place finish, while Gray’s teammate, Morgan Turpen, finished fifth in the No. 80 J&J after winning the first heat race.

Gray will lead the J&J contingent in action at the next USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour race at Columbus (Miss.) Speedway on Saturday, April 2.

Other solid J&J finishes:
Four-time World of Outlaws champion Donny Schatz scored his fourth consecutive podium finish with the WoO by racing the Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) No. 15 STP/Armor/Chevy J&J to a third place finish on Saturday night at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif.
