From Lernerville Speedway
Sarver, PA (April 22, 2011) After a great green flag round of Fab Four Racing last Friday Night, the weather has reverted back to the mid-40s with a 100% chance of rain and maybe even some snow today; forcing the fourth cancellation in just five weeks of scheduled Fab Four Racing!
Fab Four Racing is scheduled to resume on Friday, May 6 as the All Star Late Model Series rolls into the Action Track next Friday, April 29 for the $5,000-to-win Showdown in Sarvertown. Robbie Blair set fast time, and then won his heat and the A-Main last April on his way to the 2010 Series Championship.
The DIRTcar Pro Late Models and UMP Modifieds are also on the card next Friday Night as Mike Pegher Jr. and Dave Hess Jr. look defend their victories in those respective divisions at this event last year.
Pegher made his debut in Hall of Famer Lynn Geisler’s iconic #1 Cochran Super Late Model last Friday Night, but will be at the wheel of his own #1 Cochran Crate Late Model next weekend, as Geisler retakes the reins of his fabled chariot.
Defending Track Champion Dave Hess Jr. won his second consecutive Opening Night feature in the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models and is planning another “Double Duty” night of piloting his Super Late Model and UMP Modified next week. After finishing second in the All Star feature last year before winning the UMP Mod feature, Hess will be gunning for his first Sheetz Victory Lane doubleheader! A feat that has not been accomplished at Lernerville Speedway since David Scott won the Sprint and Late Model features on June 30, 2000.
General Admission prices for next Friday’s Showdown in Sarvertown are as follows: Adults just $20! $18 for Seniors, $15 for students 11-17 years old, while kids 10 & under are ALWAYS FREE!! Pit passes are $25 for DIRTcar Members and $35 for non-members. Gates will open at 5:00PM, with hot laps starting @ 7:00PM, following by All Star Late Model Series time trials, heat races, B-Mains and the $5,000-to-win A-Main feature.
