June 28, 2011 (Sarver, PA) After another wildly successful Firecracker 100 weekend, Fab Four Racing returns this Friday, July 1 on Youth Sports Night. Fans 17 and under will be admitted FREE in their uniform/jersey all night long! As always, Fab Four Racing will take the green flag at 7:30 sharp and all kids 10 & under are admitted FREE of charge!
Budweiser points leaders are Brian Ellenberger in the Ti22 Performance DIRTcar Sprints, Dave Hess Jr. in the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models, Jeremiah Shingledecker in the Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Northeast Big Block Modifieds and AJ Flick in the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman. Mid-Season Championship feature winners on Friday, June 17 were Ellenberger in the Ti22 Sprints, Boom Briggs in the Precise Lates, Kevin Bolland in the Diehl Mods and Mike Miller in the Pic-A-Part Sportsman.
The following Friday, July 8 is Nostalgia Night. Local media icon Don Gamble is hard at work recruiting the best race car drivers of days gone by to come back to their old stomping grounds to sign autographs, meet old and new fans and do some bench racing!
The following afternoon on Saturday, July 9 the 5th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com will be broadcast on SPEED at 1:00PM. The two hour broadcast will feature highlights from preliminary action from Thursday & Friday Nights, as well as the heats, B-Mains, Uncle Sam 30 and all 100 laps of the Firecracker 100 A-Main in which 2009 winner Jimmy Mars passed inaugural winner Scott Bloomquist midrace to become the first repeat winner of the newest Crown Jewel of Dirt Late Model racing. While the dust is still settling on the Firecracker 100 weekend, the next big ticket event at Lernerville Speedway is just three weeks away as the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XX Twin 30s will be contested on Tuesday, July 19. 2010 Silver Cup Champion Donny Schatz leads the current World of Outlaws point standings heading into this weekend.
