From Skagit Speedway
Alger, WA — (August 13, 2011) — It’s been almost two full seasons since former track champion Brock Lemley has won at ASA member track Skagit Speedway. Tonight Lemley led all 2 laps of the 410 Sprint feature for the Bob and Lori Scott 7s. Lemley took the lead early and stretched the advantage to over a straightaway at the finish over Barry Martinez and Jesse Whitney. Heat race wins went to Martinez and Whitney. Trey Starks set fast time at 11.489
Brandon Harkness was the third race leader of the night in the Cook Road Shell Sportsman Sprint main event. Roger Oudman led the first 5 laps with James Bundy leading laps 6 and 7. Harkness powered by and held off the challenges of Justin Youngquist and Derek Roberts for the win. The heat race winners were Harkness and Schroder.
Winning for the 5th time in someone’s car other than his own was Greg Hibma in the Outlaw Hornets. Hibma led all 17 laps with 5 cars chasing him to the stripe as the top 6 were seperated by less than a second at the finish line. Jon Gunderson and Outlaw Hornet Nationals champion Rick Young won the heats.
