Lawrenceburg, IN — (September 3, 2011) — Sikeston, Mo.’s Hunter Schuerenberg started from the 17th position after getting caught up in a accident during his heat race, and had to win the B main to transfer to the feature race. Ted Hines would start from the poll with Brett Burdette alongside. Hines would lead the opening lap before defending track champion; Andrew Elson would take the lead and lead the next 8 laps. As Elson led, Schuerenberg was picking off a cars lap after lap. On lap 9 Schuerenberg went underneath Elson and would lead the rest of the way going to pick up the feature win. It was Hunter’s 2nd win of the year. Chad Boespflug clinched the 2011 Lawrenceburg Chevrolet Track Championship with a second place finish followed by John Memmer, Andrew Elson and Brett Burdette. Heat race winners were Hines, Joss Moffatt and Kevin Thomas jr. Schuerenberg. Although the track championship has been decided, There are still several positions in the top 10 still up for grabs and these will all be decided at the final points race coming up on Saturday September 17th.
