J&J’S TEAMS CONTINUE WINNING RACES

From J&J

McKENZIE, TN – (June 27) The wins keep piling up for drivers of J&J Auto Racing Sprint cars. In a busy week of action, several J&J runners once again closed their evening in victory lane. Young Danny Holtgraver opened the Ohio Speedweek with his first career All-Star victory. Mark Dobmeier continued his Grand Forks dominance. Jared Zimbardi won north of the border in Ohsweken. Ray Allen Kulhanek, Joe Ramaker, Jared Hortsman and Tyler Drueke were also winners in J&J’s last week.

ALL-STAR CIRCUIT OF CHAMPIONS

Danny Holtgraver found himself in the right place at the right time last Friday night at Attica Raceway Park in the opener of the Ohio Speedweek. He was solidly second in the Kargo Quality Cars and Trucks, Alternative Power Source, DKW Transport sponsored No. D4 J&J with five laps remaining. Trouble struck leader Cap Henry who couldn’t avoid a crash in front of him. Holtgraver led the field back to green and led the final four laps to capture his first career All-Star Circuit of Champions feature victory.

“I was shaken that last restart…I didn’t know what to do,” admitted Holtgraver. “I just did the same thing I did the whole race and it paid off. I think it would have been a good race…that sucks for (Cap). That’s a tough break…he was good. But I think we could have made it interesting. This is unbelievable…to get this first All Star win at Attica…there’s some of the greatest race cars in the world out here every week.”

RIVER CITIES SPEEDWAY

Mark Dobmeier continued his 2012 dominance at the high-banked, quarter mile dirt oval in Grand Forks, N.D. Dobmeier won his sixth race at the track in seven starts this season behind the wheel of the Lunstra/Dobmeier Motorsports No. 13L J&J. Dobmeier took the lead with 15 laps to go and he held off all competitors through the caution-filled main event.

OHSWEKEN SPEEDWAY

Jared Zimbardi opened the 2012 Jones Brown Motorsport Insurance Northern Summer Nationals Sprint Car series at Ohsweken Speedway. Zimbardi raced his No. 35 Kistler-powered J&J into the lead following a mid-race restart and led the final 10 laps to score his fourth career feature win at Ohsweken.

ASCS GULF SOUTH

Ray Allen Kulhanek picked up his second ASCS Gulf South triumph of the season Friday winning the John Bankston Memorial at Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas. Kulhanek moved the Millers RV Park sponsored No. 21T Don Ott-powered J&J into the lead following a lap three restart and raced away from the competition. The victory helped Kulhanek add to his lead in the ASCS Gulf South standings, where he now has a 114-point advantage as the season reaches it’s halfway point.

ATOMIC MOTOR RACEWAY

Smokin’ Joe Ramaker was victorious last Friday night in Idaho racing his familiar No. 98 J&J. Ramaker dominated the main event to pick up his first victory of 2012. He returned Saturday night and after leading early, he came back from the rear of the field to finish second.

BUTLER SPEEDWAY

Jared Hortsman picked up his fourth victory of the season on Saturday at the famous Butler Battlegrounds in Michigan. Hortsman drove his No. 17 J&J from the front row and led every lap of the Sprint car main event.

EAGLE RACEWAY

Tyler Drueke proved last week’s triumph at Eagle Raceway was no fluke by winning his second consecutive Budweiser 360 Sprint main event at the 1/3-mile dirt oval. Drueke drove the No. 12 J&J and used a restart to take the lead from Jack Dover before the two would swap the lead again. Drueke moved into the lead for good on lap 13 and went on to win his second career Sprint feature.
