For the first time in nearly five years, fans of the US 36 Raceway will have the pleasure of witnessing the return of the Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Cars for the inaugural running of the US 36 Nationals presented by RacinBoys on July 3rd.
TBJ Promotions along with RacinBoys.com have put their collaborative efforts together for this event, which should produce fireworks and true entertainment to the Cameron, MO area the night before Independence Day.
“All of us at TBJ Promotions are excited for this event before such a big holiday,” said Tony Bruce, Jr. “We have had some very successful events already in 2012 and are expecting a huge crowd on July 3rd. We’re teaming up with Scott Traylor Promotions and RacinBoys to bring the fans of US 36 something they won’t forget.”
Scott Traylor Promotions will be promoting their second national event of the year, and are very excited to team up with TBJ to bring the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour back to this great facility.
“Being from Kansas City, MO I have always been a fan of the US 36 Raceway and am pretty pumped up to bring this awesome series back to this track,” said founder of Scott Traylor Promotions, Scott Traylor. “Being new to the promoting world, it’s been great working with Tony Bruce, Jr of TBJ Promotions as has proven himself as a promoter and has been great to learn from”.
The Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour will be fresh off of a double header at the I 30 Speedway and on the heels their recent Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek that saw them in action for seven events in nine nights.
As it sits now Wayne Johnson currently holds a narrow point lead of 12 markers over Jason Johnson with Brady Bacon sitting in third waiting to pounce on an off night by either of them which could happen at the always tricky I 30 Speedway.
In fact, Bacon has been simply dominant in the last two TBJ Promotions events with a win at the final night of the Steve King Memorial, before sweeping through the Eagle Nationals in early June.
“We got going pretty good towards the end of May and in early June,” said Bacon. “We pulled within five points of the lead, but had a couple nights of bad luck during speedweek, but getting to US 36 should be fun.
Another driver who is excited for the event is current Rookie of the Year leader, Brad Loyet, who would love nothing more than to pick up his first career win in his home state of Missouri.
“We’ve lead a lot of these national races, but still haven’t won one,” Loyet explained. “We have a lot of second place finishes which is tough to do in this series, but second simply isn’t good enough anymore.”
