DOBMEIER, LAYTON, GHARST & AMBERS WIN IN J&J’S

McKENZIE, TN (July 16) – The 2012 Sprint car racing season continued with several races across the map last week and several J&J Auto Racing teams once again finished in victory lane. Mark Dobmeier continued his domination of River Cities Speedway, while Chad Layton was victorious at Port Royal Speedway. Kaley Gharst won a pair of races and Alan Ambers came home a winner as well.

RIVER CITIES SPEEDWAY

Mark Dobmeier continued to his run to the front at River Cities Speedway last Friday night. Dobmeier raced the Lunstra/Dobmeier Racing No. 13L J&J into the lead on lap 7 of the 25-lap main event passing fellow J&J racer Wade Nygaard with a move out of turn two. Dobmeier led the rest of the way to pick up his ninth victory of the season.

It was a podium sweep for J&J as Dobmeier was followed to the finish by last week’s winner Jason Linnell (No. 97 J&J) and Nygaard (No. 9 J&J).

US 36 – ASCS Midwest

Kaley Gharst came out on top in a duel between the drivers of the Speedway Motors ASCS Midwest and Warrior Regions. Gharst raced the No. 6 J&J from the outside front row and held second during the first 13 laps before taking over the top spot for the final 11 laps of the 25-lap race.

PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY

Chad Layton raced the Middleswarth No. 7 J&J to victory last Saturday at Port Royal Speedway. He started second and led every lap of the 25-lap main event despite several competitors trying to overtake him for the win.

KNOXVILLE RACEWAY

Kaley Gharst added Knoxville Raceway to his win list in 2012 on Saturday night by racing the No. 6 J&J to the winner’s circle. Gharst started out on the front row and set sail while many others chased him to the finish line.

BLOOMFIELD SPEEDWAY

Alan Ambers was the class of the field last Saturday at Bloomfield (Iowa) Speedway. Ambers took the No. 93A J&J to victory lane in the 305 Sprint car class.
