Jerry Coons Jr. driving the Wilke-PAK Motorsports#5 won the rain shortened Badger Midget Series feature, Sunday Night at Angell Park Speedway. Heavy rain showers shortened the race to 25-laps, five short of the scheduled distance. Coons who also won a heat race, took the lead on the eighth lap and finished nearly three seconds ahead of the runner-up.
>> The victory was the 94th feature win at the famed track for the Wilke team. The next event this Sunday at Angell Park, is one of the season’s most anticipated “The Corn Fest Midget Classic” will be sanctioned by three series: USAC, Badger, and POWRi.
