At the drop of the green flag, several drivers battled for the top spot. Landon Simon, Ted Hines, Logan Hupp, and Andrew Elson were all in the thick of it. Hines was able to take control of the race, and hold off most challenges. The Iceman, Coleman Gulick was making his way from his 6th starting position and move his way into second and set his sights on Hines.
