SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Selinsgrove Speedway will present the final points race of the season for the 358 sprint cars, late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners at 7 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 22, sponsored by Central Builders Supply Co. Track gates will open at 5 p.m.
While the 2012 championships have already been clinched by Pat Cannon of Etters (A&A Auto Stores 358 sprint cars), Jeff Rine of Danville (Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center late models), AJ Hoffman of Richfield (Salem RV Center/Byers Built Engines), and Bob Bussey of Northumberland (Collier Paving & Construction roadrunners), drivers will have one more opportunity this Saturday to advance positions in their respective divisional standings to close out the regular season.
The top 15 finishers in the point standings in the 358 sprint car and late model divisions and the top 10 finishers in the pro stock and roadrunner classes receive trophies and point fund bonuses at the speedway’s annual awards banquet Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel.
The speedway will host a race car display this Saturday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. as part of the 34th Annual Market Street Festival in downtown Selinsgrove. Teams will have their cars on display at the intersection of Market Street and University Avenue.
On Saturday, Oct. 6, the track will present the $5,000-to-win Late Model Fall Classic plus the $500-to-win Street Stock Challenge at 6 p.m.
DH& L Fire Co. will hold the annual race car flea market starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.
