After hurting an engine last week in Chico, CA with the World of Outlaws, Andy Gregg returned to the same track for their opening night of weekly competition, and again he hurt an engine.
“It’s a huge bummer for us,” Gregg said. “I’ve never really had engine issues, let alone hurting two in consecutive races.”
The night started out with promise for Gregg and his Coors Light/LivFast Clothing/GUTS Racing No.53.
After a strong hot lap session, Gregg hit the track for qualifications, and turned the third quickest lap on his first lap, but on his second lap, he had huge issues and was done for the night.
“It makes you sick to your stomach, but our Coors Light/LivFast car has been fast all year, and we were fast on Friday, just some shattered dreams in Chico.”
Andy would like to thank Coors Light, LivFast Clothing Co., GUTS Racing, Meyers and Son Drywall, Ervin Sales Group, K&N Products, FK Rod Ends, Eagle Motorsports, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Hinchman, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, and 103.5 The Blaze for their support in 2013.
2013 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-5, Wins-0, Top 5’s-1, Top 10’s-1
ON TAP: Gregg will head back to the Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday night, for a 360ci race before kicking off the Placerville Speedway weekly season on Saturday night.
