STEWART LEADS J&J DRIVERS TO SPRINT CAR WINS

From J&J
McKENZIE, TN – Three-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart picked up his first Sprint car win of the season Saturday night racing to victory in central Pennsylvania. J&J Auto Racing also had winners in Alabama, Illinois and two more in Australia. Terry Gray, Triston Tidmore, Hayden Pitt, and Robbie Farr were all victorious in Sprint car action driving J&J’s last weekend.

SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY

Tony Stewart has been keeping busy behind the wheel of his TSR No. 14 Chevrolet Performance/Mobil 1 J&J Sprint car early in the 2013 season. After racing early in the season with the All-Stars, World of Outlaws and ASCS, Stewart raced to a fourth-place finish Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in the 410 division. On Saturday, he swapped motors and headed to Selinsgrove Speedway’s 358-360 sprint car challenge race.  It was his first-ever trip to the half-mile, clay oval, but one wouldn’t have known it following his performance. He opened the night by setting a new track record and then won his heat race. He started eighth in the feature and took the lead on lap 15 and never looked back. The win was his first Sprint car feature win of the season.

“It’s an honor to run here,” said Stewart, from Victory Lane. “It’s a deal we tried last year but it got rained out and I’m glad we got back here tonight. It’s obviously one of the most famous tracks in Pennsylvania. The track got so wide and racey. It’s fun when you can go to a track and have a lot of room to race from top to bottom. We got some momentum after tonight.”

SPEEDWAY CITY

J&J Auto Racing drivers Hayden Pitt (No. S87 J&J) and Daniel Pestka (No. S27 J&J) swept the top two positions in Saturday’s Sprint car feature event during the 410 Track Championship Final in Speedway City, Australia.

360 AUSTRALIAN SPRINT CAR NATIONALS

Robbie Farr made history driving the Monte Motorsport No. W17 J&J to victory at Quit Bunbury Speedway in Western Australia. He started third and led every lap en route to his first Australian 360 Sprintcar National Championship.

SOUTHERN OUTLAW SPRINTERS

A trio of J&J Auto Racing cars filled the podium in Saturday’s Southern Outlaw Sprinters main event at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Ala. Terry Gray took the point position in his No. 10 Rislone sponsored J&J midway through the feature event. He would fend off challenges from his teammate Morgan Turpin (No. 10M J&J) and claim the victory. Gray and Turpin led Shane Morgan, who raced his Extend-It sponsored No. 01 J&J from ninth to third, to the finish line and gave J&J a one-two-three finish.

CLAY COUNTY (ILL) SPEEDWAY

Triston Tidmore, in just his second time in a non-wing Sprint car, had a memorable evening last Saturday at Clay County Speedway in Flora, Ill. Tidmore drove the J&J to victory in his heat and led every lap of the main event after starting on the outside of the front row.
