The Rebel Cup Series race that was scheduled for this coming Saturday, May 4th, at the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA has been cancelled.
With track promoter, Steve Faria, undergoing a procedure this weekend, Rebel Cup Series Promoter, Scott Woodhouse, has made the call to cancel the event.
“With Steve being forced to stay away from the dirt for some time, we made the decision to cancel,” Woodhouse said. “Also, the Dave Bradway Memorial is Saturday night in Chico, CA and we felt it was right to not try and race against that event, it was not our intention when we released our schedule.”
The series will resume on Saturday, May 11th, at the Kings Speedway for the ‘Billet Cup’. Along with the Rebel Cup Series, the USAC West Coast 360’s, IMCA Modified’s, IMCA Stock Cars, and the Vintage will also be on hand.
DJ Netto has taken over the series point lead as Steven Kent trails him by six markers, Carson Macedo is 14 back, and Dylan Black and Mike Schott sit tied for fourth, 20 digits back.
