Dundee, NY — (June 28, 2013) — What was supposed to be the second appearance of the season for the Patriot Sprint Tour at Black Rock Speedway this Friday has been knocked out due to weather concerns.
With heavy rains hitting the Dundee oval throughout the week, a poor forecast, which included flood watches, forced Black Rock Speedway management in to a decision to cancel the event well in advance with the possibility of racing lost.
At this point, no make-up date has been set for this Patriot Sprint Tour event, however the series will return on August 9, joining forces with the United Racing Company for the $4,000-to-win A-Verdi Championship.
The next scheduled date for the Patriot Sprint Tour is a PST Canada Series event at Brockville Ontario Speedway on July 20. The next PST America events take place the following week, July 26 and 27, at Clinton County Raceway and Woodhull Raceway, respectively.
