Hammett, PA —Β (September 1, 2013) — The final portion of what was supposed to be the Patriot Sprint Tourβs first completed three-race-weekend since 2005 was apparently not to be.

The Patriot Sprint Tour event at Eriez Speedway was rained out on Sunday after persistent showers hit speedway grounds around 3:30 P.M. as teams were filing in to the pits.

Many teams were disappointed not only at the thought of taking on the 1/3-mile, especially those looking to improve their point position this late in the season. Hope is not lost though, as the prospect of a makeup date is being surveyed by PST and Eriez Speedway officials.
