Cooper Clouse of Ohio City, Ohio and Chris Lamb of Colfax, N.C. have their eyes set on closing out 2013 HPD USAC Ignite Midget championships this Saturday night at Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway.
Clouse has a 61-point lead over Wil Raber entering the final Midwest Pavement event, while Lamb’s lead over Raber in the Eastern standings is an insurmountable 256.
Saturday’s Columbus program is in conjunction with the Honda USAC National Pavement Midget finale and closes out both the Midwest Pavement and Eastern Ignite calendars.
Lamb has already posted a dozen victories in Eastern competition, while Clouse has four wins, two seconds and a third in the seven Midwest races this year.
