Bryant Dawson and Jarid Blondel continue to lead USAC HPD Western Ignite Midget standings after last weekend’s Friday and Saturday night races at the Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway Bullring. The series now gears up for a November 9 date at Havasu 95 Speedway in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. before returning to LVMS to close out the campaign November 16.

Dawson holds a 67-point pavement lead over Blondel while Blondel is a comfortable 151 points ahead of Christine Breckenridge in the overall standings.

Jake Swanson of Anaheim, Calif. swept to a pair of victories at Las Vegas driving the Winn Frazin entry. He caught HPD Eastern Ignite Champion Chris Lamb on lap 28 Friday and led the final three laps, then led the last 18 laps Saturday after passing Dawson on lap 13.

Lamb was second Friday ahead of Dawson, Shawn Buckley and Blondel. Dawson was second Saturday ahead of Lamb, Buckley and Blondel.
