LUBBOCK, Texas (Jan. 27, 2014) – The mission for Graves Motorsports now has dates in 2014.
The ASCS Lone Star Region, which recently released its schedule of 17 confirmed races with more in the works, will kick off March 21-22 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, in conjunction with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
“It’s been a long offseason for me personally and I’m looking forward to getting started,” Graves Motorsports driver Kolt Walker said. “We have about eight weeks until the first race and I’m ready to get things rolling. We are going after the ASCS Lone Star championship this season and it all starts at Devil’s Bowl.”
Walker has garnered multiple wins at the fast track, including his lone victory last season when he recorded the triumph during the ASCS Lone Star vs. ASCS Sooner regional showdown on July 6.
“We’re going somewhere I’ve been and somewhere we’ve done well in the past,” Walker said. “I know what has worked in the past so we’re not going into it totally blind. The changes that we do make will be fine tuning.”
The ASCS Lone Star will compete at nearly a dozen tracks throughout Texas and Oklahoma, including five races with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
Now that the team has its season-opening event circled on the calendar, Graves Motorsports is just buttoning up some of the smaller details like upgrading parts and changes to the graphics.
“Now we’re just filling in parts and pieces for spares now that everybody has come out with their latest and greatest,” Walker said. “The big picture is done; it’s just getting the little things taken care of.”
