From Manheim, PA, twenty-three year old Tony Fiore will be in the chase for the Rislone URC Rookie of the Year honors.  Their plan is to compete in all the URC sanctioned events in the coming season.

“My goal is to race hard, have fun and to continue making my name in sprint car racing as I did in Motocross”.   Fiore continued to say, “ My racing mentality has always been simple and that is to take one race at a time, learn as much as possible and to capitalize on all given opportunities.  It’s always been my basic formula for good results.   And good results is what I want to give back to my brothers and all the people who keep the wheels turning on our #91 sprint car”.
Tony is the Assistant General Manager at their family owned business, Metro America Auto Sales.   “We are just stoked to be a part of URC and the whole organization is made up of class act individuals.  We run our race team just like our business and we are excited to racing with a series that operates in the same manner”, said Fiore.”
For Tony, URC’s double file restarts in the feature will offer a different twist.  “I’m definitely excited about the double file restarts and I’m sure it will keep the fans on the edge of their seat”, said Fiore.
According to Fiore, he’s looking to the travel and the different race tracks visited by URC.   “I’m really excited to travel to all the tracks, a lot of them I’ve never even heard of”.   Fiore continued, “Most of all, I really like watching the races at the Grove.  It has been a dream to someday race at Williams Grove.  To me, the Grove is the Yankee Stadium of race tracks, and they always seem to draw the coolest race fans.”
URC’s purse and perks were a main attraction to bring Tony Fiore to the organization.   “The purse is a lot better  than what I ever received from the other
sprint car divisions that I raced with”,  said Tony.   “I could never understand why other classes were reluctant of new things, I  like that URC always seems to build on fresh ideas and URC is also very welcoming”.
“I’m really looking forward to URC’s opener so I can meet everyone and begin learning from them, both on and off the track.  I understand there is a ton of talented teams in URC and I’m really looking forward to be part of it”, said Fiore.
Along with Tony Fiore, several other rookie drivers are on URC roster for 2014 to include Wes Irwin of Lebanon, PA, Brad Franks of Collegeville, PA, Chris Glandon of Milford, DE and expected to make several shows is Joe Trenca of Clay, NY.
Top contenders for the Rislone URC Sprint Series championship include eight time champion Curt Michael, Josh Weller driving the Ken Eldreth #25,  Dan Mazy, Ed Aikin, Chad Trout,  Kevin Darling,  Brian Carber,  Davie Franek,  Scott Lutz, Eric Riggins and JR Berry just to name a few drivers who are planning to compete on the 2014 tour.
