Sarver, PA (April 23, 2014) After a wildly successful Opening Night last Friday, Fab Four Racing is set for round two this Friday, April 25 on Ladies Night/Silver Jacket Night. Women of all ages will be admitted for just $7 until 7:00PM, as will men and seniors in the iconic Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway silver satin jackets.
Opening Night saw Danny Holtgraver pass and then hold off fellow former Track Champion Carl Bowser for the win in the Peoples TWP DIRTcar Sprints. Russ King led 24 of 25 laps to score the win in the Precise Racing products DIRTcar Late Models, but had to stave off a mid-race charge by Mike Pegher Jr. All Time Division Wins leader Brian Swartzlander scored Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Northeast Modifieds feature win #83 after passing early leader Rex King Sr. And Terry Young outlasted Two-Time Defending Track Champion Corey McPherson to score his fifth career feature win in the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman division.
Holtgraver shares the Budweiser Points lead with Central PA’s Logan Wagner in the Peoples TWP Sprints, while feature winners Russ King (Precise Lates) and Terry Young (Pic-A-Part Sportsman) lead the point standings in their respective divisions. Despite finishing as runner up in the Diehl Mods feature, Defending Track Champion Mat Williamson leads Opening Night winner Brian Swartzlander by one point in the standings.
In addition to Ladies Night/Silver Jacket Night this Friday, April 25, the following promotional night have been added to the 2014 Fab Four Racing schedule: Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Friday, May 2; Fire, Police & EMS Night on Friday, May 23; Trophy Girl Reunion on Friday, May 30; Armed Forces Night on Friday, June 6; Freeport Area Little League Youth Sports Night on Friday, July 11; Twin State Night of Friday, July 25; Pittsburgh Circle Track Club Night on Friday, August 1; and Nostalgia Night on Friday, August 8.
DIRTcar Sprint sponsor Peoples TWP will be sponsoring the Fab Four Racing Program on Friday, May 16 featuring the Dollar Energy Auction. Brian Swartzlander’s primary sponsor McCutcheon Enterprises is sponsoring the Fab Four Racing Program on Friday, June 20 during the Mid-Season Championships and doing some fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Turner Dairy Farms, (an associate sponsor on Carl Bowser’s #10 Sprint Car this year), will be sponsoring the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Race on Friday, June 9 and the Fab Four Racing program on Friday, August 15.
