Racing returns to Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio this Saturday night for the Howard Johnson Inn of Lima Memorial Classic featuring a showdown between the K&L Ready Mix NRA Sprint Invaders and the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt. With last week’s washout, much discussion has been swirling around the racing world as to which series will pick up the victory this year and if any breakout drivers will throw their hat in the ring for a shot at victory lane. Current NRA Sprint Invaders point leader JR Stewart was running in the top spot at last year’s event when Brandon Wimmer, who recently became a father of a beautiful baby girl, took the lead and the victory. Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt current point leader Dustin Daggett is no stranger to Waynesfield posting two top ten finishes in both 2012 and 2013. Making into the show will pose to be a rather difficult task with over 40 competitors expected to be on hand. This will be the final tune-up for the 360 sprint cars before the big $7500 to win Bob Reynolds Memorial event Independence Day weekend. In additional to the rivalry race, the Performance Powder Coating AMSA Mini Sprints, Post Agri Service UMP Modifieds, and Block Insurance Tough Trucks will be in attendance. Pit gate opens at 4PM, grandstands at 5PM, and the first green flag of the night flying at 7PM. Adult general admission is $15, seniors $12, children 11-15 years old is $6 and children less than 10 years old free. Get all the latest information online at www.waynesfieldracewaypark.net
