Flag Day is June 14 and that’s the night the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Cars resume action, with a program at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.

Damion Gardner’s flag flew proudly last Saturday night at the PAS as he annexed the “Salute to Indy” 40-lap feature at the half-mile dirt oval.

Gardner, of Concord, Calif., posted his 29th USAC/CRA Sprint win at Perris in his Scott Sales Company/J & D Performance Spike, leading the last 24 laps to beat Mike Spencer, Cody Williams, Ryan Bernal and Brody Roa. Ronnie Gardner led the first six laps before Spencer led the next 10.

Gardner’s point lead now stand at 88 over runner-up Nic Faas, who finished 21st Saturday.
