Knoxville, IA — (September 19, 2014) — Thursday afternoon’s “Stocksville Reunion” at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum will now feature eight-time Knoxville Sprint Car Nationals champion Donny Schatz of Minot, North Dakota, being interviewed by veteran announcer Tony Bokhoven. The one-hour forum will take place on the second floor of the museum at 2 p.m. and is open to all those with a paid museum admission. Donny Schatz will compete in that evening’s preliminary night program of the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals, presented by Casey’s General Stores.
According to museum curator Tom Schmeh, “Last year, Barry Johnson interviewed Steve Francis for our Stocksville Reunion on Thursday. Steve was very informational and very entertaining. This year will be no different with our good friend Donny Schatz in the house. It will be fun to hear him talk about his infrequent adventures into dirt late model racing, which obviously don’t get the press that his sprint car racing exploits do. And Tony Bokhoven has a good history with Donny, which will make the hour go quick, I’m sure. So all dirt track fans are encouraged to be here at the museum on Thursday afternoon, September 25, at 2 p.m. to kick-off their three-day Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals, presented by Casey’s General Stores.”
