KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 8, 2015) – With his runner-up finish to winner Terry McCarl in the Arnold Motor Supply 360-cubic-inch Knoxville Nationals finale presented by Great Southern Bank on Saturday at Knoxville Raceway, Dusty Zomer of South Dakota has assumed the lead in the 2015 Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speed Week point standings.  Night number four is Sunday, August 9, with the Kustom Concrete Pumping (Ralph) Capitani Classic for winged 410-cubic-inch sprint cars.

 

The unofficial top fifteen in the 2015 Cox Design Iowa Speed Week points after three nights is as follows:  1., Dusty Zomer, 99 points; 2., Terry McCarl, 98 points; 3., Aaron Reutzel, 97 points; 4., Sammy Swindell, 95 points; 5., Danny Lasoski, 93 points; 6., Wayne Johnson, 92 points; 7., Brian Brown, Clint Garner, 91 points (tied); 9., Kevin Swindell, 88 points; 10., Calvin Landis, 87 points; 11., Bronson Maeschen, 86 points; 12., Tony Bruce, Jr., 82 points; 13., Casey Fredrichsen, 81 points; 14., Tony Shilling, 80 points; 15., Billy Alley, 77 points.

 

This year, the Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speed Week includes nine points-paying sprint car feature races in ten days, August 6-15, between the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville and the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa.  The top three places pay $2,500, $1,000, and $500, respectively, with the winner declared the Jesse Hockett “Mr. Sprint Car” titlist.
