From Millstream Speedway
Findlay, OH — (October 5, 2015) — Halloween is still a few weeks away, but there are plenty of treats in store for race fans attending this Sunday’s “Trick or Treat 30’s” at Millstream Speedway. To start with, the 410 winged sprints will be in action, with a $3,000 payday awaiting the feature event winner. Super Late Models are also on the card, paying $2,000 to win. Coming off a very successful show boasting over 40 entries signed in, the stock car / truck division has been added for this weekend’s season finale. With the race season finished for many race tracks and series, track officials are anticipating solid fields of cars for all divisions.
Some treats will be delivered before the on-track action ever begins. The younger fans will enjoy a real trick or treat session from 4-5pm, while everyone will enjoy a race car display, a chance to meet some drivers, and fun contests for prizes. And in an effort to remember and celebrate the past, two of the biggest fan favorites in Millstream Speedway history will be honored shortly before hot laps. Rick Ferkel (sprint cars) and Art Ball (late Models) have both won well over 300 main events in their careers, and many of them came right here at Millstream. Race fans are encouraged to arrive early to pay tribute to these great heroes of our sport.
Due to the shorter daylight and cooler temperatures of October, the schedule will be pushed ahead for the Sunday, October 11 event. All gates will open at 2pm, with hot laps beginning at 5pm and race time at 6pm. Other preliminary events and contests will also be moved up from normal times, so fans should plan to arrive in plenty of time to take in all the treats this season finale has to offer.
