OSWEGO, NY (May 24, 2016) – For the second consecutive season the ISMA Supermodifieds and Novelis Supermodifieds will take on the famed Oswego Speedway on the same night as a part of the Port City 160 ‘Super Spectacle’ presented by Corr/Pak Merchandising and Shea Concrete this Saturday, May 28.
The unique event will feature the 75-lap Novelis Supermodified Jim Shampine Memorial, the 50-lap ISMA Supermodified Jack Murphy Memorial, and the 35-lap Tony White Memorial for the Pathfinder Bank Small Block Supers, making for 160 total laps of feature action this weekend.
Last year Otto Sitterly, ISMA’s Mark Sammut, and Anthony Losurdo ran to victory lane in the three division special.
Saturday will mark the season opening event for the ISMA Supermodifieds in 2016 with favorites Dave Shullick Jr., Mike Lichty, Sammut, Chris Perley, and Tim Jedrzejek all expected to be in action.
Joining those top runners will also be Mike Ordway Jr. in the Clyde Booth No. 61 machine as well as other speedsters Alison Cumens, Mike McVetta, Tim Ice, Eddie Witkum, Trent Stephens and more.
On the Novelis Supermodified side of the pit area Michael Barnes continues to lead the driver’s standings by a slim two point edge over Sitterly.
Barnes, Sitterly, and Tim Devendorf are the only drivers to have finished in the top five in both Novelis Supermodified events this season.
Michael Muldoon and last Saturday’s feature winner Kody Graham complete the top five in the current standings with Brandon Bellinger, Aric Iosue, Dave Gruel, Dan Connors Jr., and Pat Lavery the top ten.
Mike Bond currently leads the way in the Pathfinder Bank SBS division at Oswego with a seven point edge on Dave Cliff in the battle for the title.
Last week’s main event winner Mike Bruce, Dalton Doyle, and Camden Proud are the current top five runners in the season long points with Losurdo Kreig Heroth, Jack Patrick, Barry Kingsley, and Dennis Rupert in the front ten.
Saturday’s racing activity will see grandstand gates open at 1:30 p.m. with the start of hot laps with ISMA Supermodified time trials taking place at 4 p.m.
The night’s first racing green flag will wave at 5 p.m.

An open practice session will be held on Friday, May 27 from 6-10 p.m. Grandstand admission is free with pit admission set at $25.
Kids 16 and under will again be admitted free at all Speedway events in 2016 with the exception of Budweiser International Classic Weekend and Race of Champions Weekend.
