Jackson Motorplex Featuring Double GoMuddy.com NSL 360 Tri-State Features to Kick Off Weekend Doubleheader

JACKSON, Minn. (June 6, 2016) – Jackson Motorplex will showcase double features for the Last-Deck® 360 Sprint Cars featuring the GoMuddy.com National Sprint League 360 Tri-State Region this Friday, which highlights the opening round of a doubleheader this weekend.

The Liquid Nitro IMCA 305 Sprint Cars and the Heartland Racing Association non-wing sprints are also on Friday’s all sprint car card at the half-mile oval.

 

Ian Madsen leads the Last-Deck® 360 Sprint Cars championship standings after sweeping the first night of double features last month. Casey Friedrichsen has also picked up a victory in the class.

Friday will be the second time this season that Jackson Motorplex has presented double features. The second main event will be inverted by 12 based on lead-lap cars from the first feature and both main events will provide points toward the Cash Bowl.

Dusty Ballenger enters this weekend on top of the Liquid Nitro IMCA 305 Sprint Cars championship standings. Ballenger has won each of the first two races this season.

Friday also marks the second time for the Heartland Racing Association to visit Jackson Motorplex this season. Tony Rustad claimed the opening event last month.

Tickets for Friday are $18 for adult general admission, $15 for seniors ages 65 and older, $10 for students ages 13 to 18 and free for children ages 12 and younger. Pit passes are $30.

The pits are slated to open at 4:30 p.m. with the front gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps will begin around 7:30 p.m.

Saturday’s event at Jackson Motorplex will include the Wilmont Oil IMCA a mods, Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA sport mods, Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA hobby stocks, Boji Bay Water Park IMCA sport compacts and IMCA stock cars.

Kelly Shryock leads the Wilmont Oil IMCA a mods championship standings with Justin Luinenburg on top of the Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA hobby stocks and Nate Coopman in Position 1 of the Boji Bay Water Park IMCA sport compacts standings. All three drivers have won the first two rounds of the season in their classes.

Dustin Larson is leading the IMCA stock cars standings and Matthew Looft the Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA sport mods standings.

Tickets for Saturday are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors ages 65 and older, $6 for students ages 13 to 18 and free for children ages 12 and younger. Pit passes are $30.

Fans who attend Friday’s event can bring their ticket stub to receive admission into Saturday’s show for only $5.

The pits will open at 4 p.m. with the main gates opening at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 7 p.m.

CASH BOWL –

The GoMuddy.com NSL 360 Series has more than $500,000 up for grabs during the 2016 season. The series established the ‘Cash Bowl’ in an effort to allow racers from across the country a great opportunity to generate money. Any driver who competes in at least one national race and 15 regional races or 90 percent of any region’s events is eligible for the Cash Bowl, which pays $10 per point. The final night of a national event provides 120 points to win and eight points to start the main event. Regional races deliver 30 points to win and two points to start.

Additionally, the top five drivers in overall national and regional points at the end of the 2016 season will split more than $50,000 in bonus money with the national champion pocketing $20,000.
