Findlay, OH — (June 10, 2016) — It’s not exactly General Grant vs General Lee, but the Ohio Sprint Car Series is billing this weekend as “North vs South,” and their sights are set on Millstream Speedway this coming Sunday night, June 12 for a $3,000-to-win racing event. The 410 winged sprint car tour is based out of south central Ohio and brings a following of cars and drivers that the northern part of the state doesn’t get to see on a regular basis.
Cole Duncan and Jac Haudenschild have had the most series success so far in 2016, but the current point leaders also include Danny Smith, Ryan Myers, Josh Davis, and more. And while the fate of the union is not in question, bragging rights are indeed on the line for both the OSCS regulars and the defending cars and stars that frequent Millstream Speedway.
This week, the sprint cars are joined by the thundering super late model division, along with a stock car division that will include the 8-cylinder dirt trucks. The dirt trucks, once thought to be a notch below in handling and power, ran very competitively with the stock cars last year at Millstream. It’s only a matter of time before a truck finds the checkered flag first.
All gates will open at 3pm, followed by practice beginning at 5:30pm. Prior to on-track action, race fans will have an opportunity to see selected drivers and cars up close and personal and to get autographs and photos. As always, racing trivia and fan interaction are also on the agenda. Promoters Randy and Lisa Hammer hope to see you Sunday night!
