The Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions return for the 34th annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket Saturday night at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio. The All Star stop will mark the second night of the 8-night sweep through the buckeye state brining race fans the best of the best sprint car drivers from across the county. Current All Star point leader Dale Blaney will be looking to pick up his second win in the past three years at Waynesfield Saturday. Blaney picked up the All Star win in 2014 and placed inside the top ten one year ago. Ohio native Sheldon Haudenschild comes into the event after claiming the victory last year over veteran drivers James McFadden, Tim Shaffer, Randy Hannagan, and Steve Kinser. Sprint Cup Series drivers Kyle Larson and Kasey Kahne have placed WRP on their list for Saturday night with NASCAR silent this weekend. Both Larson and Kahne got their start on local dirt tracks making Saturday a true homecoming.
The K&L Ready Mix NRA Sprint Invaders return for their second straight weekend to the cornfields of Waynesfield to top off the night of speed. In last weekend’s 25 lap A-main, Randy Hannagan managed to get around Max Stambaugh and Tim Allison in a late race pass to pick up the victory.
