Dakotas night rained out at Jackson Motorsplex

Jackson, MN — (June 17, 2016) — Dakotas Night at Jackson Motorplex has been cancelled because of inclement weather that invaded the area on Friday.

A thunderstorm hit in the early evening and forced track officials to call the event, which featured the Spirit Lake Silver & Gold NSL 410 Sprint Cars with the National Sprint League, Last-Deck® 360 Sprint Cars and Liquid Nitro IMCA 305 Sprint Cars.

The other National Sprint League races this weekend – Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, and Sunday at Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa – are still on as scheduled.

Tickets for the event at Knoxville Raceway are $15 for adults, $10 for ages 13 to 19 and free for ages 12 and younger. Pit passes are $25.

Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m. with qualifying at 7:15 p.m.

The Cushion will provide live Pay-Per-View video from the race at Knoxville Raceway at http://www.TheCushion.com.

Tickets for the race at Mason City Motor Speedway are $20 in advance (call 515-832-6000) or $25 on race day for adults, $15 for seniors ages 65 and older and for students ages 11 to 16, and free for children ages 10 and younger. Pit passes are $35.

The pit gate opens at 4 p.m. with the front gate opening at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

Speed Shift TV will have live Pay-Per-View of the race at http://www.SpeedShiftTV.com.

Saturday’s Jackson Motorplex IMCA program, which will include the Wilmont Oil IMCA a mods, Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA sport mods, Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA hobby stocks, Boji Bay Water Park IMCA sport compacts and IMCA stock cars, is on as scheduled.

The purse is doubled for the Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA sport mods class.

Kelly Shryock leads the Wilmont Oil IMCA a mods championship standings with Justin Luinenburg on top of the Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA hobby stocks and Nate Coopman in Position 1 of the Boji Bay Water Park IMCA sport compacts standings. All three drivers have won the first three rounds of the season in their classes.

Dustin Larson is leading the IMCA stock cars standings and Matthew Looft the Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA sport mods standings.

Tickets for Saturday are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors ages 65 and older, $6 for students ages 13 to 18 and free for children ages 12 and younger. Pit passes are $30.

The pits will open at 4 p.m. with the main gates opening at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 7 p.m.
