WAYNESFIELD, OH (6/30/16) – The 1st annual Summer Sprint Sizzler featuring four different types of sprint cars makes its debut over the independence day weekend at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio. The Sunday night program will feature nothing but the finest sprint cars in the Midwest, competing for some of the larger payouts of the season. The July 3rd event will be headlined by the K&L Ready Mix NRA Sprint Invaders running for a $3000 payday. Former World of Outlaw, Randy Hannagan, has gone two for two at Waynesfield in NRA action this season. Max Stambaugh will be looking to beat out Hannagan coming in second and third in the past two visits from the NRA Sprint Invaders. Waynesfield’s weekly Non Wing program will join the inaugural Summer Sprint Sizzler running for $2000 to win. The F.A.S.T 305 sprint series will make their second appearance Sunday running for a $1000 payday. Steve Rando picked up the F.A.S.T series win last season. The stop will be the first of four dates for the F.A.S.T series away from their home base in central Ohio. The AMSA Mini Sprints will round out the night of nothing but sprint car racing with a $500 to win A-main.
An additional $30,000 is up for grabs by any driver who can compete and win each of the four A-mains. Any driver able to complete this challenge will walk away with a total of $36,500 for the weekend.
Times will be adjusted for the Sunday evening race. Pit side gates will swing open at 3PM; grandstand gates at 4PM. Cars hit the racing surface for hot laps at 6PM with the first green flag of the night flying just after 7PM.
Adult general admission is $20. Senior citizens are admitted for $18. Kids aged 11-15 years old are $15 with everyone under the age of ten admitted FREE of charge to all Waynesfield events. Pit access is available to all members of the general public for $30.
