Cockrum wins at the Sumar Classic

Shane Cockrum survived a late-race challenge and used a little luck to hold on for Thursday night’s “Sumar Classic” win at the Terre Haute Action Track. After capturing his first Silver Crown Series win last fall at Du Quoin, Illinois, Cockrum led most of the night’s 100-lap feature only to see his lead taken away in the late stages by C.J. It is with great regret that the Patriot Sprint Tour is forced to announce that they will not race at Stateline Speedway this Saturday, July 4th. Despite countless efforts, PST Management was unable to secure necessary insurance and financial requirements from Stateline Speedway Management heading in to Saturday’s event.
