Rocket Hockett – Another Solid Weekend!

Jesse “The Rocket” Hockett’s solid start to the season continued with another pair of top five finishes against stout competition in South Texas. Though he lost the lead late in the race Saturday night, the Warsaw, Missouri driver feels the new VKCC #75 team is off to a good start. The team will take this weekend off before the Lucas Oil ASCS National series season commences on March 19 and 20 at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas.

Brian Brown – Winning the Battle at Battleground!

The 2010 season started in fine form for Brian Brown and his FVP #21 racing team last Saturday night at the Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas. He was able to top a stout ASCS-Gulf South field in exciting fashion for his first win of the season. He’ll stay in Texas and put the 410 in for some World of Outlaws action this weekend in Kilgore and Baytown.

When the dust settled on East Bay Raceway Park last Saturday night, it was Wayne Johnson who was crowned at the Ronald Laney Memorial “King of the 360’s! The win paid him a cool $14,500, as he took over the lead with two laps to go in Glenn Styres #0x. The next step comes this weekend in ASCS-Gulf South action in south Texas as he has secured a ride n the Channing Zierolf Motorsports #c41 for events on Friday and Saturday.

Tuesdays with TMAC – Tulare Tempest!

Terry McCarl and the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California go together nicely. This weekend, the Altoona, Iowa sprint car ace will return to the Cali bullring for a two-night World of Outlaws invasion. He will try to add to his solid career numbers at the speed plant, and should have some momentum after recording quick time last weekend with the WoO in Las Vegas.
