BELL, GARDNER “WRAP” USAC MIDGET TITLES

PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY HOSTS THURSDAY’S “73RD TURKEY NIGHT GRAND PRIX”

After rain washed out last weekend’s races in Yuma, the cars and stars of the Honda USAC Western Midget Series will battle at Don Kazarian’s Perris Auto Speedway. Presented by Agajanian Promotions and Oval Entertainment, the 98-lap “73rd Turkey Night Grand Prix” on Thursday, November 28th, is co-sanctioned with the Honda USAC National Midgets.

OVAL NATIONALS WINNER DARLAND HEADED BACK TO THE PAS FOR TURKEY NIGHT!

Lincoln, Indiana racing superstar Dave Darland, who earlier this month scored the win in the 18th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals Presented by All Coast Construction at Perris Auto Speedway, is headed back to the Riverside County clay oval for the running of the 73rd Annual Turkey Night Grand Prix on Thanksgiving night.

HONDA USAC WESTERN MIDGETS INVADE COCOPAH SPEEDWAY

Following the Western World Championships, the Honda USAC Western Midget Series will invade Yuma, Arizona’s Cocopah Speedway for two nights of action. Starting this Friday, November 22nd, the fast 3/8-mile oval will also host the popular West Coast Late Model Shootout Series. The Pit Gates will open at 2:00pm, the Front Gates open at 5:00pm with Racing scheduled to begin at 7:00pm.

JOHNSON TAKES SOUTHWEST TITLE & PEORIA PRELIM

R.J. Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz. capped his 2013 USAC Southwest Sprint Car championship with a victory in last Friday’s “Western World Championships” opener at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Ariz. He finished eighth in Saturday night’s 30-lap finale at Peoria but finished the season with a 122-point cushion over runner-up Charles Davis Jr.
