Just as a number of college basketball teams are hoping to find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow over the next three weeks of NCAA March Madness play, the best Winged Sprint car drivers are seeking gold this weekend with a pair of World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series events in The Golden State of California. Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz and Steve Kinser look to rebound from a tough weekend at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif., by christening Stockton 99 Dirt Track Friday and returning to Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico for the annual Mini Gold Cup Saturday.

One of the best things about the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series schedule is there’s always another chance to race coming up soon. With a schedule that includes more than 85 nights of action, it’s easy to see why drivers and teams who are part of “The Greatest Show on Dirt” love the opportunity to compete. With a half-dozen events in the books, Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz and Steve Kinser are geared up for five consecutive weekends in the Golden State beginning Friday and Saturday at the always-entertaining Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif.

The journey to a World of Outlaws (WoO) STP Sprint Car Series title is filled with a number of peaks and valleys.

There couldn’t be a better time for the Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) tandem of Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz to return to St. Louis for the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series final Midwest appearance of 2012. The fans in the region are known for their passion and, while many will revel in the St. Louis Cardinals’ bid to repeat as World Series champions, the grassroots Sprint car fans will enjoy one of the most exciting days of the season. Mother Nature may have taken the first two rounds in this battle this year, but all involved with Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., are hoping this third time will be the charm.

The numbers are all still in play in the 2012 World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series championship fight. In just 64 days a champion will be crowned, and it’s looking like a two-team race with each having a pair of viable candidates. Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz and Steve Kinser both have plenty of experience winning WoO championships and know success this weekend in northwest Washington and western Oregon would certainly enhance their title chances.
