The 2nd Annual City Vending “Cowtown Midget Championships” are scheduled Friday and Saturday at Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale, Texas, opening the 2010 USAC/SMRS “Great Plains” Midget Series.
Brad Loyet of Sunset Hills, Mo. Is the defending series champion and is coming off “top-10” finishes in all three 2010 USAC Mopar National Midget races already this season.
Brady Bacon and Bryan Clauson won last year’s “Cowtown Midget Championship” features at the quarter-mile dirt oval.
Friday’s races begin at 6 pm and a 30-lap feature is on tap. A 35-lap feature is scheduled Saturday, with racing set to begin at 4. Saturday’s events include a “fan-fest” from noon until 1:15 pm for race fans to enter the pits and get autographs, pictures and apparel.
