Sarver, PA (April 20, 2011) Coming off a fantastic start to the Fab Four Racing season on Opening Night 2011 last Friday, that saw three and four-wide racing and a pair of last lap passes for feature wins by 2010 Track Champions Dave Hess Jr. and Kevin Bolland, round two is on tap this Friday, April 22. Billed as Silver Jacket Night and Easter Egg Extravaganza, fans of all ages will walk away with plenty of swag on Good Friday!

Cole Duncan (Ti22 Sprints), Dave Hess Jr. (Precise Lates), Kevin Bolland (Diehl Mods) and Mike Miller (Pic-A-Part Sportsman) claimed Opening Night feature wins. Despite their feature wins, only Mike Miller leads his division in Budweiser Points. Heat races are worth a maximum of 10 points, while features are worth a maximum of 30 points. As such, Dale Blaney (Ti22 Sprints), Gregg Satterlee (Precise Lates) and Jeremiah Shingledecker (Diehl Mods) are the Budweiser Points leaders entering Friday Night’s Fab Four Racing program.

Silver Jacket Night, (originally scheduled for Friday, April 8), pays tribute to the legacy of the late, great Don Martin whom so generously shared his trademark silver, satin jackets with race fans all over the country. Don would always take a box of the silver, satin jackets with him as he visited race tracks all over the country, using the jacket both as a goodwill gesture and as a walking advertisement for Lernerville Speedway!

To honor his memory, any fan wearing a silver, satin jacket to the race track this Friday Night will receive a “silver” discount. Adults will pay the Senior/“silver” rate of $10 instead of $14, while senior citizens will pay the Student rate of $7 instead of $10. Furthermore, all silver jacket wearers will receive a raffle ticket and be entered into a drawing for a FREE ticket to the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XX Twin 30s featuring the World of Outlaws on Tuesday, July 19.

While the Silver Jacket promotion is geared towards the adults, Easter Egg Extravaganza is all about the kids! At approximately 7:00, PA announcer Dow Carnahan will call the kids to the souvenir trailer where they will receive an easter egg with a special prize inside. Prizes range from candy and toys, to vouchers for driver t-shirts, Lernerville apparel, Stivason Photos of their favorite drivers, trips to Sheetz Victory Lane, rides in the #1 Cochran Pace Truck, free hot dogs, free pizza and Fan of the Week. There will also be a coloring contest and a “guess how many jelly beans are in the jar” contest at the souvenir trailer.

Lernerville Speedway will also be home to an Easter Egg Hunt of Saturday, April 23 hosted by Alive Community Church from 1:00-3:00PM. For more details log on to www.alivecc.com or email Lisa Franklin at lisasfranklin@gmail.com.

The All Star Late Model Series rolls into Sarvertown next Friday, April 29 for a $5,000-to-win Showdown along with the DIRTcar Pro Late Models and UMP Modifieds. Robbie Blair and Shane Clanton won All Star Late Model Series A-Mains in 2010.

Speaking of big time Late Model racing, the 5th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com is now just over two months away! Yes, on Thursday-Friday-Saturday, June 23-24-25 the biggest late model show of the year will take place at the historic Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway! Tickets are on sale now at the Lernerville Speedway office, (which has recently expanded operation hours from 9:00AM-5:30PM to accommodate all of your ticketing needs), by calling (724) 353-1511 or by clicking the “Buy Tickets” icon at Lernerville.com.
