RAIN CUTS NIGHT SHORT AT OHSWEKEN SPEEDWAY

From Ohsweken Speedway

Ohsweken, ON — (June 8, 2012) — For the second week in a row rain spoiled the night for Ohsweken Speedway race fans. After a complete rainout on June 1st action resumed on Friday night with a full card of Sprint Cars, Thunder Stocks, Bombers and the special Abel Castelein Twin 14’s for Mini Stocks.

Both the Bomber feature and first Twin 14 were completed with Davey Boughton capturing his first career Ohsweken win and Mike Evers taking the first Mini event.

Rain began to fall prior to the start of the Sprint Car B-Main and would be just enough to plague the rest of the evenings events.

The remainder of racing action from Friday night June 8th will be completed next week (June 15th) at the beginning of the race night starting with the Sprint Car B-Main and then followed by the Thunder Stocks, second Mini Stock Twin 14 and Sprint Car A-Main. Race time is 7:45pm.

As 7 races had been completed there will be no rain checks offered on any wristbands, tickets or passes. Please view the Ohsweken Speedway Rainout Policy for complete details.
