A full-blown “shootout” is on tap July 14 when the USAC Dirt Midget Association (DMA) resumes action at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt.

Only 11 points separate the “top-three” in the standings, with Kevin Chaffee on top, 10 ahead of Scott Holcomb and 11 ahead of defending series champion Joe Krawiec.

Holcomb earned his first win of 2012 Saturday night at the quarter-mile dirt track. After three weeks of struggling with a water leak in his Pontiac Quad 4, he finally found his way to victory lane, passing Dana Shaw on lap six for the top spot.
